The focus of the redesign and renovation of this 1970's Surfers Paradise airbnb apartment was to create a fresh, light, breezy space that brings calm and comfort to its holidaymakers.

Whilst structural changes were not permitted, space and light were enhanced by removing kitchen cabinetry and applying microcement flooring 

throughout, creating a cloud like feel. A newly installed large gas strut window opens over a breakfast bar and treats guests to an unexpected ocean view straight down the street.

​

A new kitchen with underbench lighting and integrated dishwasher provides a functional space while bamboo kitchen cabinetry and travertine laminate benchtops add warmth and interest.

​

Furniture selections and furnishings align with the softness of the space and oversized artwork adds surprise.
